Patchwork Wallhanging

I love a good challenge.  And last fall we had a good one with the Virginia Beach Modern Quilt Guild.  The challenge was to make a quilt using Alison Glass Clover Sunshine, we could add any other Alison Glass fabric or solids.

After contemplating this quilt for months, I finally settled on an idea a week before due date.  If it weren't for last minute, I wouldn't get anything done at all.

Because my cutting table is overflowing with other projects and things that need to be put away,  I killed my knees assembling on the floor.

And with soooo much time available before this was due, I added a ton of quilting.

Because this turned out so awesome and spectacular, this is the first wall hanging for my first granddaughter due to arrive the end of August.

It still lacks a binding and a sleeve - but I have all the way until August for that!

  3. I bought this pattern after I saw your quilt at the meeting! Did you use a tear-away stabilizer like it suggests or something else?
