Nursery Sewing

Another month, another baby, and another round of nursery sewing.

I love what this mom picked out for her son's room.  Madras plaid.
Only she offered up a photo for an example and I had to make up the rest.
Pressure, pressure, pressure.

So I came up with a pillow as an example so she could approve the pattern before I sewed all the rest.

This is a mixture of some plaids we had chosen and solids.  I used a variegated thread for the quilting.
The pillow is 18" and backed with a light blue minky.  The darkest fabric is a navy, not black.

I added a Divided Fabric Basket (pattern by Noodlehead

A minky backed flannel blanket monogrammed with the babe's initials

Burp cloths

So here is the whole baby shower package

The pillow was especially well received, Yay!  I was on pins and needles worried about the random pattern and colors I chose.  I will add a primary red and a golden color in solids when I start the bumpers pads for the crib.

Keep Calm, and Quilt On!

Wow another noodlehead basket. You can make them in your sleep. How do I order one up? :)
